APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Grand Chute mother who sexually assaulted her two young children has been sentenced in Outagamie County.
We’re not going to name the 35-year-old woman who will spend the next 40 years of her life behind bars after pleading guilty in September to first-degree child sexual assault with someone under 12, child sexual exploitation, and incest with a child. That’s to keep the identity of her children, a son, aged 7, and daughter, aged 6, private.
Prosecutors say the woman sexually abused those two children, filmed it, and posted videos of the abuse online.
“Unfortunately that innocence that is associated with being a child has forever been taken,” Judge Gregory Gill said during the hearing.
In addition to the 40 years the woman will spend in prison, she was sentenced to another 25 years of supervised release. The woman will be 75 years old when her prison sentence ends.
