KEWAUNEE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) — The name of the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s deputy who shot and killed kidnapping suspect Luis Cardona earlier this month has been identified.
Deputy Aaron J. Schley, an 8 year veteran of the department, remains on administrative leave.
The 38-year-old Cardona was the suspect in the November 19th kidnapping of his ex-girlfriend, Babette Caraballo, who remains at a local hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Cardona had shot Caraballo before police opened fire. Caraballo was kidnapped from her Green Bay workplace earlier that day.
