BELLEVUE, WI (WTAQ) – A Bellevue home is damaged following a Thursday morning basement fire. Firefighters responded to the home on McRae Circle around 9 a.m. for a report of smoke detectors going off.
Nobody was home at the time, and no injuries were reported.
When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke coming out of the basement. They were able to contain the fire to the basement. The basement mechanical room sustained fire damage, with the rest of the home sustaining smoke and water damage.
The fire department estimated the cost of the damage at $30,000.
