(ST. NORBERT) – St. Norbert hits the road to the Twin Cities of Minnesota to face Macalester in a key Midwest Conference North Division matchup. The Green Knights are currently tied with Lake Forest atop the division with two games remaining.
The Series
St. Norbert leads Macalester 4-1 in an all-time series begun in 2014, the year the Scots joined the Midwest Conference as an affiliate member. The Green Knights have won the last four games in the series, including a 2-0 mark in St. Paul.
Last Meeting
St. Norbert slipped past Macalester 17-15 on Oct. 27, 2018 at Schneider Stadium in De Pere. The Green Knights led 14-0 on touchdown runs of 12 and 15 yards by Matt Galanopoulos before Macalester mounted a rally. Grady Munro found Alec Beatty on touchdown passes of 11 and 17 yards sandwiched around a 29-yard field goal by St. Norbert’s Spenser Thompson-Meyers. The Green Knights recovered an onside kick with 3:54 left and ran out the clock. Macalester outgained St. Norbert 300-229. Nate Ihlenfeldt led St. Norbert with 82 rushing yards on 17 carries. Munro completed 24 of 41 passes for 289 yards but was intercepted three times, while Beatty caught 10 passes for 125 yards for the Scots.

Junior linebacker Maccabee Barrett tops the Green Knights in tackles with 36. Junior linebacker Zach Kratky has 30 tackles, while senior defensive lineman Blake Olejniczak has 26 tackles. Senior defensive lineman Kordell Draves has 24 tackles and a team-high 7 1/2 tackles-for-loss. Senior defensive back Joe Peterson has 19 tackles and six interceptions. St. Norbert is averaging 35.3 points and 439.2 yards per game this season. Defensively, the Green Knights are allowing 18.5 points and 275.7 yards per game.

Macalester enters the game with a 3-4 overall record and a 1-2 mark in the Midwest Conference North Division. The Scots are coming off a 14-7 home loss to Ripon this past Saturday. Freshman quarterback Michael Nadeau has completed 52 of 99 passes for 635 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions. Sophomore running back Kian Sohrabi has rushed 73 times for 360 yards and one touchdown, while sophomore running back Kai Akimoto has 236 rushing yards on 68 attempts and four touchdowns. Sophomore wide receiver Peter Vitalis has 26 receptions for 295 yards and three scores, while senior wide receiver Reese Bresson has 21 receptions for 308 yards.
