GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay Packers outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith faces citations for marijuana possession and speeding.
The citations stem from a September 29th traffic stop in Racine County while he and two teammates were returning to Green Bay from a trip to Chicago. He was clocked going 81mph in a 60mph construction zone.
Nothing was found on the players, but three hollowed-out cigars and a vaping cartridge were found in the back of the vehicle.
Smith was the only person cited. He is set to appear in court on Monday.
Packers officials say they are aware of the situation and declined to comment further.
