GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The Green Bay Area Public School District is looking for public input as they begin the search to replace outgoing Superintendent Michelle Langenfeld.
School Board President Brenda Warren says they want to know what everyone in the community is looking for in a school administrator.
“We’re gathering information from as many community members as we can and providing input into what they see as important skill sets or things they would like to see in our next superintendent,” says Warren.
A survey is available on the district’s website. It should only take 7-10 minutes to complete.
“There will be questions there that people can answer. And that’s just going to help our search firm develop a profile as they go out to recruit candidates,” says Warren “we’ll get a full report of what the survey and focus groups showed us in terms of what our community is hoping for in the next superintendent.”
Group sessions are also set for November 6th at the Brown County Central Library, and November 13th at the school district office.
“The plan right now is for our search firm to bring back all of the information they’ve collected at our board meeting,” Warren says.
The hunt for a new superintendent is set to officially begin after the school board meeting on November 18th.
