APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – A woman who pleaded no contest to causing the death of her 13-year old daughter is now asking to withdraw that plea.
39-year old Nicole Gussert faces a count of child neglect-consequence is death. According to the criminal complaint, Gussert’s daughter had severe health issues requiring constant care. The girl died as a result of infections caused by unsanitary conditions.
Both sides will now file legal arguments and a judge will decide whether to overturn the conviction.
