MANITOWOC COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – A Manitowoc man is in custody after a police chase over the weekend.
Officers attempted to stop 22-year old Jacob Hetue around 9:30 a.m. Friday morning. He was wanted on a warrant from the state Department of Corrections.
A deputy tried pulling him over again about 10 minutes later, but Hetue then took off again. The pursuit covered 8.2 miles, hitting speeds up to 95mph before the deputy spun out Hetue’s car.
Bond was set Monday at $10,000 cash. Hetue is set to return to court for an initial appearance on November 4th. He has not been formally charged, but charges being considered include knowingly fleeing an officer, methamphetamine possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
