LEDGEVIEW, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Brown County Sheriff’s Department says a pilot died in a plane crash in the Town of Ledgeview, near Fonferek’s Glen County Park, Thursday evening.
Deputies say the crash happened just before 5:00 p.m. when the airplane was trying to land at a private airfield but crashed into a pickup truck.
Martin’s Aerodome, a private airfield, is near the crash site.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office isn’t identifying either man involved in the crash.
Deputies confirmed the pilot is a Ledgeview man.
The pickup truck driver is a man from Greenleaf, who was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Plane debris can be seen scattered across Dutchman Rd and a nearby field.
The plane itself can be seen on top of the truck at the scene, which is on Dutchman Rd, near the intersection with Hidden Valley Lane.
