SISTER BAY, WI (WLUK) – A Door County community will be receiving federal funding to upgrade its wastewater treatment facility.
The village of Sister Bay is getting a $3.4 million loan and a $1.6 million grant from the USDA.
It’s all part of the agency’s $201 million investment to improve rural water infrastructure around the country.
The project will expand and increase energy efficiency at the wastewater facility, which was built in 1990.
The facility will serve 1,200 residents in the village of Sister Bay and part of the town of Liberty Grove.
