UPDATE: OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – Last night and into the morning hours today the Oshkosh Police Department’s SWAT team, Crisis Negotiation Team, the Accident Investigation Team along with the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office and the Oshkosh Fire Department responded to the 200 Block of E Tennessee Avenue to investigate a weapons complaint.
The Oshkosh Police Department had received information that gunshots had been heard in that area.
Upon further investigation, a 46-year-old female from Oshkosh and a 55-year-old male from Appleton were located deceased inside of a residence in the 200 blocks of E Tennessee.
Preliminary investigation indicates that both individuals died from gunshot wounds.
We are not looking for any suspects at this time and feel that this was an isolated incident.
The Oshkosh Police Department is investigating two deaths that occurred in the 200 Block of E Tennessee Avenue in the City of Oshkosh.
Just before 11 p.m. last night, officers were dispatched to a weapons complaint in the 200 Block of E Tennessee Avenue.
Upon further investigation, an adult male and an adult female were located inside of a residence, both deceased. These two individuals were known to each other and this is an isolated incident. The public is not in any danger.
The 200 Block of E Tennessee Avenue will be closed to traffic as we continue the investigation.
