TOWN OF HOLLAND, WI (WTAQ) – One man has died and others were injured after two semi-trucks and car collided in Brown County early Friday morning.
Sheriff Officials say the area of Highway 57, north of Man-Cal Road was closed throughout the morning.
Around 6:15 A.M. a 50-year-old Whitelaw man was trying to back his semi into a driveway of a water distribution center.
A car, with a mother, father and one-year-old child from Forest Junction inside, was stopped behind the semi-tanker.
As the semi-tanker was backing up, the driver told authorities he noticed a southbound semi-truck, driven by a 60-year-old Pulaski area man, was closer than he thought.
The semi was struck in the back by another semi and pushed the car into the ditch.
The semi-tanker then pushed the car into the ditch with the passenger side rear tires of the semi-tanker on top of it.
The driver of the southbound semi-truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver Pulaski man died at the scene and the two people in the car, a mother and father were injured.
They were both treated and released.
The one-year-old child and the driver of the northbound semi-tanker were not hurt.
All parties involved were wearing seat belts.
Hwy. 32/57 reopened around 4:30 p.m. Friday.
