APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – The Appleton Fire Department says an apartment caught fire and filled with smoke on the 2300 block of E. Peter St. Saturday afternoon at around 4:30.
Firefighters respondedquickly and were able to put out a small fire.
Officials say they managed to keep the fire from spreading to the other apartments in the eight-unit building.
No one was inside the apartment at the time of the fire and Appleton fire says those living inside are staying with family.
