GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Rain will play a factor in outdoor events that are scheduled for this weekend.
For the Bellin’s Women’s Half Marathon, the show must go on.
Linda Maxwell of Bellin says as long as the lightning stays away, they will run with a few adjustments.
“The rain does not matter to our runners, only if there’s lightning and thankfully there are no storms in the forecast and it’s only rain,” said Maxwell. “They’re a hardy bunch and won’t let a little rain stop them.”
The same cannot be said for the Northeast Wisconsin Craft Beer Festival’s outdoor plans. Terry Charles of PMI Entertainment Group says it is moving into the Resch Center.
“We advertised it as a rain or shine event, but as we got closer to the event and saw the forecast we thought people might be turned off with any chance of rain and decided to move it inside the Resch,” said Charles.
Entertainment will still be held outside for the event Saturday.
