NORTHEAST, WI (WTAQ) – With more rain expected to start the week, several counties in Northeast Wisconsin will be under a Flash Flood Watch.
The Watch will go into effect starting Tuesday morning and will go through Wednesday morning.
he National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a * Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Wisconsin, east central Wisconsin, and northeast Wisconsin, including the following areas, in central Wisconsin, Portage and Waushara. In east central Wisconsin, Calumet, Manitowoc, and Winnebago. In northeast Wisconsin, Brown, Kewaunee, Outagamie, and Waupaca. * From Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning * Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches will be common across much of central and east-central Wisconsin. Some locations may see even higher rainfall totals. * Flooding in urban and poor drainage areas is possible. There may also be rapid rises on rivers and streams. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
