GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay Police are continuing to investigate a Sunday night shooting that left one person wounded and the suspect on the loose.
Green Bay Police Commander Paul Ebel said they responded to the area of Smith Street. and St. George Street for reports of shots fired.
“We were notified first that there were shots fired in the neighborhood, we were later called by Belin Hospital where he had been taken to by friends.”

“We have him identified, we just need to be able to find him and talk to him.

Officers arrived in the area and they located evidence related to a possible shooting.
The victim is currently being treated for his injuries at a local hospital, the injuries are not life-threating.
Green Bay Police Detectives and Forensic personnel responded and are actively investigating.
Ebel says in the meantime, officers are taking steps to crack down on gun violence.
“We have some beat patrol that we are assigning out in that neighborhood on the Northeast side,” he said. “We are going to make sure that the neighborhood knows that we are here and if you see something, say something.”
