BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – Officials reporting a fatal crash in Brown County. It happened this morning on County Highway G (Dickinson Rd.) in the town of Ledgeview. Brown County Sheriff’s Department released the following statement:
On 09-23-19 at approximately 0718 hours, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a 2 vehicle crash on CTH G just east of Scray’s Hill Road in front of Ledgeview Golf Course.
A pick-up, driven by a male from the Kiel area, was eastbound on CTH G just past Scray’s Hill Road when it struck the back of a low-boy trailer that was stopped on the side of the road to off-load a bulldozer. The pick-up then spun around and flipped. The driver of the pick-up was ejected onto the roadway and the male off-loading the bulldozer, from the De Pere area, was struck during the crash.
The driver of the pick-up was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The male who was off-loading the bulldozer was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office reconstruction unit is on scene. Names are being withheld pending notification of relatives.
