FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A group of volunteers led by the organization participated in a semi-annual Fox-Wolf Mini Cleanup Saturday.

In all 19 bags of trash were filled. The organization says some of what filled the trash bags included 262 plastic bags, 62 straws, eight balloons and two tires.
Kelly Reyer, Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance outreach coordinator, tells FOX 11 about some tips to try and reduce the amount of waste along water.
“We had volunteers show up and bring their own coffee cups, so we have less to throw away. Reusable bags, reusable cups, reusable storage containers, that sort of thing. And then just be cognizant of where you’re throwing things away, make sure it gets into a garbage can.”
Organizers say that more people showed up today than in the spring.
