Edgar Radalfo Bravo-Perez was using the name Santiago Hernandez -Martinez as well as Jimmy Hernandez-Martinez for his employment.
Investigators also determined that 29-year-old Jorge Luis Bravo-Perez used the name Jorge Luis Perez and that he and his brothers are all in the United States illegally and that they had plans to go back to Mexico in December.
Hobil Bravo-Perez was arrested for sexual assault of a child and Edgar Bravo-Perez was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
The assault was originally reported on September 4 to the Langlade County Sheriff’s Department. In the complaint, the 15-year-old stated she was sexually assaulted and possibly drugged by an adult male at his Birnamwood residence.
“We found meth in the house and we know that drugs and alcohol were involved in some of the sexual assaults.”
The male was identified as Alexis Bravo on Facebook.
“They were using social media to find these girls and start interacting with them and influencing them.”
The girl said that Alexis was an ex-boyfriend of her 15-year-old friend and was communicating with her on Facebook Messenger.
According to the complaint, the girl told investigators that Alexis wanted to give her $50.00 dollars to have sex with her if though she told him that she was only 15-years-old. The girl told investigators that she agreed to hang out with him but did not agree to sex, according to the criminal complaint.
The complaint states that Alexis forced sexual intercourse with her and that he gave her $50.00 dollars and walked her out of the house.
Investigators discovered that Alexis Bravo was dating the victim’s friend for six months in 2018 when she was 14-years-old.
According to the complaint, the girl said that the two of them had sex at least 50 times and that the sex was consensual. The complaint states that she told investigators that the relationship ended when he started hitting her and became abusive physically. She also informed investigators of Alexis’s two brothers who she identified as “Jimmy” and “Jorge”. According to the complaint, she told investigators that the brothers would give her alcohol when she came over and told her that everything would be fine. She said she learned that Alexis and his brothers were illegal aliens that worked at Matsche Farms, and used fake identities to work there.
“Both the suspect and the victims admitted to what happens and for the most part, the suspect agrees with what the victims are saying,” said Bieber.
Hobil admitted to using Facebook Messenger to speak with the 15-year-old girl and admitted having sex for money, but denied forcing her to do it. Hobil also admitted to having a consensual sexual relationship with the other underage girl but denied being physically abusive to her, the complaint stated.
Sheriff Bieber said they are continuing to investigate.
“We need to take it seriously because there are definitely child predators out there.”
The complaint also states that Alexis Bravo had interaction with a 16-year-old girl and her 12-year-old cousin in Langlade County that is still under investigation.
The complaint states that the 16-year-old’s mother found out about that she was friends with him on Facebook after finding out that he was “fooling around” with her young niece. The 16-year-old starting seeing Alexis Bravo between March and May of this year, according to information in the complaint. During that time she said “Axel” would send inappropriate photos of himself but she did not send any back. Investigators interviewed the girl’s cousin who admitted to having sex with “Axel” multiple times, starting in the winter of 2018, according to the complaint. She said they continued to have sex even after she told him how old she was. She also admitted to drinking with him every time they were together and the two exchanged nude pictures of themselves on two or three occasions, according to the complaint.
Investigators also spoke to the girl’s mother who said she would drive her daughter to a location in Polar to meet up with Axel. She told investigators that she figured they were boyfriend and girlfriend and that he looked younger than 19, according to the complaint. The complaint also states that she has no concerns about Axel and feels the girls are at fault, not Axel because laws in Mexico are different and they may not know what to do when girls message them. She also told Langlade County investigators that she feels the girls should get in trouble as well if he does.
Charges related to those interactions have been referred to the Langlade County District Attorney’s office.
“We know that there possibly may be other victims out there, so the case is still ongoing and we are still doing our investigations,” Bieber said.
