GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay Metro Fire Department crews were dispatched to Walgreens on the corner of West Mason and Oneida streets for report of a sign on fire.
Upon arrival crews found smoke coming from the wall behind the exterior sign above the store entrance.
Crews cut open the wall and found active fire in the wall behind the sign.
Power was cut to the sign and then the fire was extinguished with a single hose line.
Crews opened more of the wall to assure no extension and
complete extinguishment.
Units were on scene for approximately 45 minutes.
Damage is estimated at $5,000
