BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – Authorities are looking to identify two people they say have been passing counterfeit checks at various Brown County stores.
Deputies say the counterfeit checks were passed on August 17th. Some of the stores were Target, Walmart, Menard’s, Woodman’s and Fleet Farm.
Officials released surveillance images of the two accused of conducting the transactions along with the suspect vehicle.
Deputies believe the two are from or are associated with southeast Wisconsin as counterfeit checks were also passed in the Milwaukee and Kenosha area.
