MENASHA, WI (WTAQ) – Menasha Police arrested a 31-year-old man who threatened to kill his father after an argument.
Police say the argument took place Sunday evening when a father confronted his adult son about cooking cabbage late at night.
At one point the son threatened to kill his 55-year-old father with a knife and a physical fight took place.
Neighbors contacted police after hearing the struggle and reported seeing the son leave the house with a meat cleaver and rope.
Gunshots were reported overnight. Bullet holes were found in the vehicle and the garage.
Officers eventually took the son into custody and recovered a firearm. Charges of disorderly conduct and recklessly endangering safety, battery and damage to property are being recommended.
