GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A Fond Du Lac man has pleaded guilty for the shooting death of a man last Halloween.
21-year-old Nigel Schultz has been convicted of first-degree intentional homicide, which carries a life sentence.
Officials say Schultz shot 36-year-old Bradlee Gerke 16 times and then buried him in a shallow grave in the town of Lebanon.
Schultz admitted to the killing because he believed that Gerke was going to turn him in to police for a felony.
Schultz could be released from prison anytime after 20 years if the judge allows it during sentencing.
