FISH CREEK, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says the cleanup will begin at Peninsula State Park.
DNR officials say a damaged sewer line coming from a golf course building caused a spill Tuesday. The line was found along Crystal Springs Rd. within the park.
A contractor will work to repair the pipe after the sewage is cleaned.
Efforts are expected to begin in the coming days.
Residents on Crystal Springs Rd. are also asked to avoid drinking or cooking with water.
DNR officials say there isn’t a threat to the public or public’s drinking water.
The DNR will also ask well owners for water samples to find possible contamination.
