MADISON, WI (WTAQ) – Representative David Steffen presented his case for relocating the Green Bay coal piles to the Assembly’s Transportation Committee on Tuesday.
No action was taken and the committee did not set a date for a vote to take place.
The proposed bill would have the state grant $1.5 million dollars to move the coal piles to a new site and redevelop the land that the piles currently sit on.
Several state representatives were skeptical of approving the grant without going through the normal competitive process.
