GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – At approximately 10 pm last night (WED), Green Bay Police responded to an accident with injury at Dousman and N Broadway St on the near west side.
A pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle at this intersection and the vehicle had left the scene. The victim, a 26-year-old Green Bay resident, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Shortly after the accident police were notified of a reckless driver called in by other motorists. The vehicle was stopped and found to have damage consistent with that of the accident.
A 20-year-old Green Bay resident was arrested and jailed for OWI Causing Great Bodily Harm as well as Hit and Run Causing Injury.
Both the Brown County and Green Bay Accident Reconstruction Teams were utilized in processing the scene of the accident. This incident remains under investigation.
