APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – A cemetery in Appleton is asking for storm damage clean-up help.
Riverside Cemetery has substantial tree damage and a strong need for clean-up.
Administrator Debra Debruin says they have a small-sized grounds staff
“We have two full time and one part-time person for that.”
But the more hands will help get the work done faster.
“The more the better and obviously we need someone who can walk on the grass and pull the branches.”
She says other than that, anyone who wants to lend a hand can show up during the day and help as much as they can. She says that can be individuals, families or groups.
“We are reaching out to Boy Scouts, High School and people on Facebook.”
Debruin says this already has put them behind their normal maintenance schedule.
“When this is done, we are going to be behind on the grass cutting and maintenance.”
Thankfully, no damage to monuments was located.
