GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The National Weather Service confirmed four tornadoes in Northeast Wisconsin over the weekend.
An EF-1 tornado was confirmed in New London Saturday morning.
An EF-1 tornado was recorded Hortonville.
An EF-0 tornado was recorded in Greenville and an EF-0 tornado hit Wrightstown and damaged a barn.
A total of 9 tornados were confirmed in Wisconsin.
Friday and Saturday’s storms did significant structural damage to the power lines in Central Wisconsin and the Fox Valley, and some people are still without power.
Wisconsin Public Service spokesman Matt Cullen says that while crews have been working around the clock to get power restored, there are still plenty of places where damage remains.
“We appreciate their patience and we thank them for that.”
He says anyone who is thinking of running a generator in their home should follow the instructions carefully.
“We remind them that it must be operated outdoors and be in a well-ventilated area. Generators can lead to a build-up of carbon monoxide.”
WPS and We Energies crews have restored power to over 150 thousand homes since Friday night.
As of Monday morning, more than 180,000 WPS and We Energies customers have had power restored from the weekend storms.
About 39,000 WPS customers and nearly 21,000 We Energies customers were still without power Monday morning.
WPS is expecting to have more than 1,000 personnel working on restoring power all day Monday.
There is still no exact timeline when power is expected to be restored. It may still be days for some customers.

Most of those locations are on the west side of the county.
