MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) – A Two Rivers mother facing abuse charges after the death of her child will stand trial.
27-year-old Rena Santiago is facing six charges for the April 19 death of 2-year-old Gilbert Grant.
Police were called when the child was not breathing.
Police say the child had multiple injuries. Santiago admitted to the abuse to the child by her and two roommates and said it was a form of discipline that she approved of.
Bianca Bush and David Heiden are also facing charges.
