GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A pair of women allegedly part of a nationwide theft & fraud ring were charged in Brown County on Monday.
26-year-old Anjelica Marsala faces 39 charges, including 19 of forgery, five of fraud against a financial institution, and four of receiving stolen property.
Marsala’s bond was previously set at $20,000 and she’ll reappear in court July 9.
24-year-old Ashley Blevins of Knoxville, Tenn., faces a dozen counts, including four counts of misappropriating identification information, and four counts of forgery.
She’s being held on a $20,000 cash bond and returns to court July 23 for a balance of initial appearance.
Their activity is consistent with a group known as the Felony Lane Gang, according to police.
Police seized 29 wigs, which were allegedly used as a disguise, as well as multiple electronic devices.
A number of out of state rental vehicles were used and all identified displayed local license plates that were confirmed to be stolen.
The total loss attributed to them is about $50,000.
They were arrested after trying to cash a fraudulent check in De Pere.
