OCONTO, WI (WTAQ) – A former Oconto Falls teacher has pleaded not guilty in connection to sexually assaulting a student.
On Friday, 29-year-old Brynn Larsen waived a preliminary hearing on four charges, including two counts of repeated sexual assault of the same child.
Court records show no trial date is set, at this time, and she’ll return to court on August 16 for a pre-trial conference.
Larsen was a substitute teacher and a volleyball coach at Oconto Falls High School, according to the criminal complaint, and she allegedly engaged in an on-going sexual relationship with a student.
Earlier, there was an investigation, but no charges were filed.
Then this year, the victim came forward to confirm the two indeed had a sexual relationship and charges were filed.
Investigators contacted Larsen through the victim’s Facebook account, following their consent, where Larsen admitted to the sexual relationship.
According to the complaint, Larsen said that she did not regret the relationship and stated she isn’t a pedophile because she never “went after” the victim or made her do anything she didn’t “want to do.”
