APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – A man shot by sheriff’s deputies during an incident in Little Chute has been charged.
43-year-old Jakeus Meltz faces one felony count of stalking, and misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.
Court records show that bond has been set at $10,000 cash and he’ll return to court on July 11 for a status conference.
The June 16 incident initially started with a domestic disturbance in Shiocton, before shifting to a location in Little Chute.
Once deputies attempted to make contact with Meltz, they say he was uncooperative and tried to run away.
Later on, Meltz made movement toward his waist area and deputies fired shots, according to officials.
