SEYMOUR, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Kids played at the new Seymour Splash Pad Saturday.
The community had the splash pad’s grand opening at the Lions Park.
The organizer of the project said that she ran into funding issues, but with some help, managed to complete it.
She also wanted more activities for kids to do outside in the summer.
“We had realized early on once we started having kids that we wanted something more for them to do in Seymour. I was taking my kids almost every weekend to the splash pads in Green Bay, and I’m like “How hard can this be? Let’s just build something like this in Seymour,” said Lindsey Kraft, a mom who came up with the idea of a splash pad.
She also says that Seymour is one of the smallest towns in the U.S. to complete a project of that size.
