OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Oshkosh police are ready to offer a cash reward for tips that lead to an arrest after a man was shot over the weekend.
Police are investigating after the victim was shot multiple times Saturday right in the yard of a home on the 400 block of High Avenue.
Officers wouldn’t clarify where the man was shot but did say the shooting left him with non-life-threatening injuries.
Shortly after the shooting Oshkosh officers received a call reporting multiple suspects left in a vehicle.
That tip lead officers to five people, all of which were taken into custody for questioning.
While the investigation continues three are still plenty of questions that authorities want answers to.
But Lieutenant Todd Wrage tells FOX 11 above all they want to know “why.”
“Well with any investigation in an attempted homicide we want to know the motive. Why did it happen? Why was this particular person targeted? Those are just among the questions that we want to ask.”
Wrage says the man was taken to an area hospital right away but didn’t have an update on his condition.
