APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Appleton Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting that happened on the southeast side of the city.
Officers say just before midnight on Sunday they were called to an apartment on East Canary Street for a woman who was shot in her arm.
The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment and has since been released.
Police believe that the shooting happened over a marijuana deal.
Police say 26-year-old Ricco Campbell was taken into custody on Monday. The following charges are being recommended: armed robbery, first-degree reckless injury, first-degree recklessly endangering safety and resisting/obstructing arrest.
No formal charges have been filed at this time.
