OCONTO FALLS, WI (WTAQ) – The body of a missing fisherman was recovered in the Oconto River over the weekend.
On Saturday, the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Dispatch Center received a report of a missing fisherman in an area south of the dam on the Oconto River located in the City of Oconto Falls, Oconto County, Wisconsin.
On Sunday, a second extensive search of the river, shoreline, and numerous islands were conducted by the search team.
The 38-year-old Little Chute man was reported missing Saturday evening.
The man’s death remains under investigation.
