SHAWANO, WI (WTAQ) – Shawano is buzzing with Sun Drop fever.
The third annual SunDrop Dayz runs through Saturday night.
One of the organizers, Jeff Ballwahn says little by little the event is getting bigger.
“We feel this is going to be an annual event for a long time to come, so we hope year three will knock it out of park.
This year, something will be knocked out of the park. A baseball tournament at Memorial Park is one of the new highlights for the year.
Food, Music, Family Fun and of course, Shawano’s very own golden cola are the other features.
“We try to grow it every year, bring in a different flavor and we hope to keep this heading into the right direction.”
The event started as a chance to have non-profits work together and has become a regional phenomenon.
“The idea of this event was to give back to the community and to bring people into town to spend money at area businesses.”
Sundrop Dayz takes place in downtown Shawano.
