OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – UW-Oshkosh is naming their conference center after a well-known alumni, with an even more well-known last name.
On Friday, the university renamed the building the Culver Family Welcome Center, after alumnus, and co-founder of Culver’s, Craig Culver.
He is a 1973 alumni and donated $2 million to the building.
While in school, Culver studied biology and is the co-founder, board chairman, and brand ambassador for Culver Franchising System.
The center is used to host events, welcome alumni, current, and potential students to the campus.
It first opened along the Fox River in 2014.
