OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – The body of a 71-year-old Oshkosh man was found after a fire broke out on the 1100 block of High Avenue Saturday evening.
Anytime we have a structure fire, a fire of any nature, there is going to be an investigation into the cause of it,” said Oshkosh Police Patrol Sergeant Todd Wrage.
Crews responded just before 5:30 p.m.
“At this point, we don’t have any reason to believe that there is anything suspicious about the fire itself,” said Wrage.
Battalion Chief Brian Bending says they have determined that the fire started on the main level of the home, but the exact location and the cause are still unknown.
