FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) – A Ripon man is pleading not guilty after being accused of sexually assaulting multiple children and provided them with drugs.
57-year-old Terry Phelps waived a preliminary hearing Thursday and no trial date is set.
Court records show that the case is being transfered to a different judge.
Phelps faces 43 charges, including five counts of repeated sexual assault of the same child.
Multiple children said that Phelps would spank them on their bare buttocks and several said he also provided marijuana to them, according to the criminal complaint.
The incidents happened over the course of several years and Phelps was friends with the father of one of the victims, while he came to know the victim’s friends.
