GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay Police are on the lookout for the suspect in an overnight armed robbery.
Police got the call around 11 p.m. to the Marathon gas station on West Mason Street.
“Initial reports were that officers were responding to a male that entered the gas station, displayed a knife, demanded money, and then fled the area,” explains Commander Kevin Warych, with the Green Bay Police Department.
Cops say the suspect had a blackstring bag in which he had the clerk put the money in.
“[He] was able to get an unidentified amount of money and fled the gas station in an unknown direction,” says Commander Warych.
The suspect is a light-skinned black male approximately 6 feet tall. The suspect was wearing a black colored jacket (possibly fleece type) with a hood that the suspect had over his head concealing most of his face, black blue jeans, and black shoes.
The knife appears to be a folding knife, with a metal handle and approximate 5″ silver blade.
The suspect left the area on foot and no vehicle was seen.
Police are now working to see if they can go back and connect any of the dots.
“Trying to now focus on video surveilance, see which vehicles were in the area at the time of this robbery,” explains Commander Warych.
They also say that no one was injured in the incident.
