GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – One person died in police custody overnight.
Green Bay police responded to the 1400 block of Admiral Court on the city’s west side for a report of a male causing several disturbances.
The scene then moved to the 1400 block of Shirley Street. The male suspect initially would not listen to commands but was eventually taken into custody.
Police say once in custody, the suspect appeared to have a medical emergency, was taken to a hospital but died, police said.
The Appleton Police Department has been asked to step in and is investigating the incident.
