GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A five-story hotel could be replacing the closed Brett Favre’s Steakhouse, which sat near Lambeau Field.
The hotel, which would be named The Legacy, is being proposed by a developer and would contain 79 total guest rooms.
Of the 79 rooms, 65 would be studio suites, 11 classic suites, and three grand suites.
The main level would also be a lobby bar and restaurant, as well as a smaller bar and rooftop patio on the fifth floor.
The plan submitted to the city of Green Bay would have the hotel keep the Steakhouses same address at 1004 Brett Favre Pass.
The plan also features two meeting rooms, a wellness center, and a fitness center.
City staff has recommended that the plan be granted a variance from Green Bay’s maximum height requirement for the site.
A Staybridge Hotel was proposed twice before to be connected to the restaurant but was never built.
According to city documents, this is a new proposal from different owners.
The former Brett Favre’s Steakhouse closed last year after it briefly changed its name to Hall of Fame Chophouse in 2017.
