CRIVITZ, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – People across Northeast Wisconsin may still be digging out from Thursday’s spring storm, and just as the snow and slush get cleared away, more inclement weather may be on the way.
On a sidewalk in downtown Crivitz, David Bentzler’s snowblower seems to be spitting out a lot of slush.
“It’s heavy, so I got to drive the snowblower pretty slow. It’s really heavy, but I’m cleaning it all up,” said
“We were good. You could see grass, but then, we got this,” said Mike Wink, Wausaukee.
“I could never do it by myself. I mean hand shovel this? No. It wouldn’t work. Not for me,” said Diane Boser, Crivitz.
Dennis Wankowski says the storm moved quickly through the area.
“I got up at six to let the dog out. There was nothing. I got up at seven, we had an inch and a half. I left a little after eight, we had four inches. So it came down pretty good,” he said.
Meteorologists say about 10 inches of snow fell in the Crivitz area.
“And now with this here, we probably broke a record,” said Bentzler.
Crivitz hasn’t broken records yet, and some people who live in the village hope it doesn’t.
“It’s April. We’re supposed to be fishing,” said Wankowski.
“It will melt, and that will be the end of it. Hopefully. We got to talk to the weatherman,” said Boser.
