GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WULK) – High school students with an interest in business and leadership are coming to Green Bay this week.
Sunday, they began setting up and organizing for the Future Business Leaders of America’s (FBLA) annual state conference.
Seymour High School student Mercede Heinke tells FOX 11 they compete in academic events involving speeches and presentations and these events involve a lot of preparation.
You have to take 30 minutes every day for the last three months, or however long it was since regionals and keep studying, keep up on your knowledge. For presentations, you have to go through it hundreds of times so that you’re comfortable.”
Students who win the academic events will advance to the national FBLA conference in June.
