GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The suspension of a Green Bay Police Captain will be discussed on Friday when the Green Bay Police and Fire Commission meets.
In 2018, Capt. Todd LePine had a five-day unpaid suspension levied against him by Police Chief Andrew Smith following an internal investigation into claims of harassment, bullying, and racial misconduct by officers against other officers.
Chief Smith alleges that Capt. LePine, who worked on the police department’s night shift from May 2015 to July 2016, did nothing to stop the harassment, disparaged another captain in front of a subordinate, and falsely claimed during the investigation that he had no knowledge of the harassment.
Three night shift officers resigned following the investigation.
The Police and Fire Commission has the final say on Captain Lepine’s appealed suspension.
