GRAND CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A woman who allegedly tried to stab a Grand Chute police officer is expected to face formal charges.
The incident happened Feb. 2. Police said they were called to the home, where the 19-year-old was reportedly destroying property and physically assaulting a person.
Police say the woman tried to stab an officer. The officer left with the person who called the police, leaving the woman inside. More officers arrived and tried to talk with the woman, but that didn’t work. Eventually, police went back in and she again tried to stab officers.
Officers eventually got the knife away from the woman and arrested her.
Grand Chute police say the Outagamie County District Attorney’s Office has asked for the woman to be taken to the county jail for criminal processing.
