GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Due to flooding, the Green Bay Area Public School District will be extending their school year.
Classes were canceled last Friday due to flooding and according to John Magas, Associate Superintendent, a make-up day is now set for Monday, June 10.
“We considered a wide variety of options, but we felt that this was the day that was built, and also, there are many things that go into scheduling changes,” he explains.
He realizes that any kind of change can be difficult for families.
“This was the day that allowed for the greatest deal of flexibility and we appreciate the flexibility on the part of parents and on the part of teachers and students of course.”
