If you've been following the progress of the Return to Nam Old Glory Honor Flight group currently in Vietnam, you're doing it vicariously. Here's your chance to show your love and support in person, and directly, at the official welcome home celebration on Saturday, March 9th.
There's a fun twist though. While the veterans are halfway across the World, preparations are happening locally to surprise the group with a large public show of support. They know they are returning to Menasha High School, they don't know it will be a public event!
Public means you. You are invited! You can help the Old Glory Honor Flight organization provide these 52 Vietnam veterans with the welcome home many never received but always deserved.
Welcome Home Celebration
- Saturday, March 9th
- Menasha High School Fieldhouse
- Doors #15 and #26 will open at 5:00 p.m.
- The veterans are scheduled to arrive in the 6:00 p.m. hour
- Remember: it's a surprise!
Latest Update
Old Glory Honor flight provides this latest update as of March 8th. Please note the following:
1. Please carpool to allow for as much parking as possible.
2. Please leave the parking closest to the entryway at Door 15 (see maps below) for IMMEDIATE FAMILY of our traveling veterans.
3. We are asking the general public to use the parking available on the surrounding two way side streets near Menasha High School.
4. As an alternate, overflow parking will be available at Calder Football Stadium (see maps below) with shuttles to MHS Door 26 beginning at 4:30 p.m. The last shuttle will go back one hour after the ceremony conclusion (last shuttle scheduled for 9 p.m.)
5. There will be reserved seating for traveling veterans and ONE spouse, significant other or family member. All other friends and family will be seated in general seating on a first come, first served basis.
6. Last but not least! Doors will NOT OPEN until 5:00 p.m. No exceptions will be made. Only doors 15 and 26 will be open for entry.
We can't wait to welcome these veterans home with you and thank you in advance for helping us by following the above instructions to make the event safe and fun for everyone!
Public Street Parking
All general public are asked to park off school grounds to make room for immediate family. Street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Overflow parking with shuttles is located at Calder Stadium
