GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Snow and winter storms are becoming a little too common around here the past few weeks and we’re about to get hit again late tonight and early tomorrow.
Jeff Last, with the National Weather Service Office in Ashwaubenon, says the next system will pack a wallop.
More than the 6-10 inches of snow.
“But when the snow tapers off the winds will be picking up. So we’ll have some blowing and drifting snow as we get to tomorrow after and tomorrow night.”
And, this will be an equal opportunity storm.
“Anywhere from Green Bay, Marinette, Door County south to Oshkosh, the Fox Cities, we’re looking at snowfall in the 6 to 10-inch range.”
To make matters worse another system with slightly less snow is moving in Thursday night.
“Beginning later Thursday night and going into Friday morning, it looks like another potential for several inches of snow and some wind.”
Sunday’s snowfall was initially projected at 2 to 4 inches. Turns out many places received six inches.
If you’re desperately looking for something positive, Last says after that we’re looking at a stretch of days with seasonal temps and little, if any, snow.
